KitchenAid Pro Line Burr Coffee Mill
 |
OK, I'm pretty serious about my coffee, and I like to grind my own beans because they're fresher and I can combine different kinds of coffee together. Unfortunately, I seem to wear out a regular burr grinder every 8 or 9 months and you can't get replacement burr wheels anywhere, so you pretty much have to just buy a new one, which I hate!
So this time when my favorite Delonghi grinder got worn out, I looked around for a replacement that would last longer and have replaceable parts. I found this Kitchen Aid, and I'm in love. :-)
It runs at a lower speed, so it's quiet! It grinds faboulously out of a large glass hopper, and it's so solidly made. I expect I'll be using this one for many years to come.

Metropolis Toaster

This toaster from DeLonghi would be right at home in Fritz Lang's 1927 film Metropolis, which is probably where the name came from. :) The styling us ultra-retro sci-fi and looks like it's just as likely to go airborne as make toast!
Available in 2-slice and 4-slice and it has controls and adjustments out the wazoo, so it will brown your breadstuffs just how you like 'em.
